“Stay in a camp, tent or house of Tel al-Sultan, or walk on any other route that endangers your life and the lives of family members,” military spokesman Colonel Avicay Adraee said in a statement.
Hamas said its Politburo member Salah Bardawil was killed in a strike in Mawasi with his wife. Bardawil, also a member of the Palestinian Parliament, is a prominent member of the Hamas political department, and has spoken with the media for many years.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Emergency Services Ministry said Israeli forces are blocking their ambulances from responding to the strike in Rafa and that several of its medical staff have been injured.
Last week, a series of air strikes by the Jewish state killed hundreds of Palestinians and the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas ended.
The ceasefire began in January, suspending the 15-month war triggered by Hamas on October 7, 2023. Attack Israel. The bodies of 25 Israeli hostages and eight other people were released during the ceasefire in exchange for hundreds of Palestinian prisoners.
Negotiations were supposed to begin the next phase of the truce in early February, which required Hamas to release the remaining 59 hostages (including 35 dead hostages) in exchange for other Palestinian prisoners, a lasting ceasefire and Israeli evacuation from Gaza.

But these negotiations never began, and Israel withdrew from the ceasefire after Hamas rejected proposals from Israel and the United States to release more hostages ahead of any negotiations on a protracted truce.
Hamas killed about 1,200 people and kidnapped 251 hostages in the October 7 attack. Most of the prisoners were released in a ceasefire agreement or other deals, but Israeli forces rescued eight living people and recovered dozens of bodies.
According to the Hamas government’s Gaza Ministry of Health, the Israeli attack killed nearly 50,000 Palestinians, which did not distinguish between terrorists and civilians.
Meanwhile, Hamas’ allies’ Iran-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen launched another missile in Israel, but the Israeli military said the projectile was intercepted. No reports of casualties or damages.
