Late Night Host Jimmy Kimmel and Stephen Colbert After he was assassinated At campus events in Utah.
“Instead of pointing his angry fingers, can we one day agree that shooting another person is terrible and terrible?” Kimmel wrote On Instagram. “On behalf of my family, we send love to Kirks and to all the children, parents and innocent people who have become victims of meaningless gun violence.”
Colbert’s remarks were ahead of Wednesday’s “late performance.”
“We express our condolences to his family and all of his loved ones. I am old enough to remember the political violence of the 1960s myself, and I hope it’s obvious to everyone in the United States that political violence does not address any of our political differences,” Colbert said.

Colbert continued: “Political violence only leads to more political violence. I pray with all my heart that this is an abnormal action by the madman, not a sign of what is about to happen.”
The founder of Turning Point USA and the host of “Charlie Kirk Show” became an outstanding figure in the media and university campuses nationwide. He was shot dead Wednesday during an event launching his “America Comeback Tour” at Utah University in Orem, Utah.
President Donald Trump issued a statement on Wednesday Focus on Kirk’s legacy As a patriot and leader.
He described Kirk as a “stellar American”, embodying the values of faith, freedom and courage, and vowed that his administration would be held accountable to those in charge.

Trump also issued a strong warning about the dangers of political rhetoric.
“It was a long time ago that all Americans and the media have to face violence and murder, to demonize those you disagree with in the most hateful and despicable way,” the president said.
