Police said a wrong car crash Monday night in Vermont Square killed two people, including the baby, and both were in critical condition.
At 11:36 p.m., a white sedan “turned oncoming traffic at high speeds” and crashed into another sedan at Western Avenue near 47th Street.
The driver of the white sedan, a man in his 40s, was killed, and a 6-month-old baby was also killed. Miller said both were pronounced dead at the scene.
He said two other passengers in the car, a 20-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman, were taken to the hospital, and they remained in critical condition.

Other videos from the scene reviewed by The New York Times showed police responses that were very high, which shocked West Street bystanders.
Miller said police have not confirmed any reports that the white car was stolen.
