Devastating landslide hit Tarasin Village According to the rebel groups controlling the area, at least 1,000 people were killed in Darfur, Sudan, on Sunday, August 31.
The Sudan Liberation Movement/Army (SLM-A) said the horrible incident was triggered by rainy days in late August and “completely upgraded the village to the ground.”
“The initial information indicated deaths of all rural residents, estimated to be over a thousand. Only one survived,” the Sudan Liberation Movement/Army said in a statement.
