The child and parents watched as a Florida man wearing Chuck E. cheese mascot costume arrested for alleged credit card theft.
“We are going to detain mice,” an officer said in a human video provided by the Tallahassee Police Department when the police walked into the home entertainment center.
“Chuck E.’sa is a little busy, ma’am,” an officer can be heard telling her mother, asking about the picture of the mouse with the lens of another body camera. “Chuk E, come with me. Chuk Chuk E! Stop resisting! You’re detained, stop resisting! Sir, don’t create scenes here.”
Jermel Jones, 41, was handcuffed after 6:30 p.m. on July 23, according to the camera’s timestamp.

According to possible affidavits, one woman said she frequently visited the agency and had her card last physically controlled when she attended her child’s birthday party on June 28 at Chuck E. Cheese.
In addition to records of alleged fraudulent allegations, the victim also provided police with footage of her debit card “she did not shop”, the affidavit said. The victim believes that Jones is an employee of Chuck E. Cheese.

Jones denied any misconduct, but the affidavit states that after his arrest, he suggested that an official find a credit card that day, which was “to his people” but said he “never used it.” Police said the victim’s name was found on the card found in Jones’s left front pocket.
“Jones also owns a small amount of marijuana,” the affidavit said. He allegedly told officers that he was “on the way to obtain a medical marijuana license.”
