The EV4 model uses KIA’s Digital Key 2.0 system, which will allow the owner to remotely control certain features through applications of 15 different devices, such as being able to start the vehicle engine. It even works with the Apple Watch. The electric car is equipped with Kia’s highway driving assistance technology, which allows owners to access driver attention warnings, forward collision assistance, lanes behind assist, smart speed limit assistance facilities and remote parking assistance assistance. There is also an advanced feature called Driving Package F+ that can detect dangerous situations using cameras and radars and can help drivers operate their vehicles safely.

Kia will make the EV4 sedan in South Korea and will initially start using it in March. It will produce a five-door hatchback version that will be available for sale in Europe in Slovakia in the second half of the year. The company has not disclosed when it will start making the EV4 for the North American market, but it assured interested buyers that it is releasing the vehicle in the U.S.

In addition to launching EV4, Kia also launched the concept of EV2 (pictured below) during the event. It describes the EV2 as compact and urban friendly, expandable interior with folding second row seats. Kia plans to sell EV2 in “Europe and elsewhere” starting in 2026.
