Kevin Bacon After the release of “Footloose” in 1984, he wanted to get rid of the spotlight, but his wife, Kyra Sedgwick, had other plans.
Bacon dreams of becoming a “lonely” farmer on his recent YouTube show “The Last Meal of the Fabulous Kitchen” and his dream is to live on a rural farm with his dog.
“I think I’ve already experienced it The intensity of “footloose”, “Explode into a star of a nation and then try to solve this star,” Bacon said. He revealed that feeling like his life has changed from “zero to 60” and he is looking for a way to end.

At that moment in his life, Bacon longs for peace of mind.

“I just thought, ‘I’m just a guy with a dog, living alone. I don’t need anything. I don’t need anyone.’
“I just thought about myself, ‘I’m just with a dog, living alone. I don’t need anything. I don’t need anyone.”
When Bacon describes his desire for loneliness at the time, the Gatlin Brothers’ 2007 song “Chop Wood and Carry Water” came to mind.

“It may sound cliché…but I like being there, chopping wood.”

Bacon lived in western Connecticut when he met his wife. Sedgwick is not excited about Bacon’s desire to be isolated from the rest of the world.
Initially, the couple lived in a “trendy, small, bankrupt farmhouse,” Bacon said.

“For a while, actually, she kind of folded and we became together,” he said of Sedgwick. “We live in this little place and I chopped the wood and when we weren’t working, she brought the dog into the mix. So it’s us- [our dogs] Jane and Tebalt. ”
Bacon’s fantasy will only take Sedgwick to come true in a few years.
Bacon recalls: “She said, ‘It’s so scary. I want to go out for lunch. I want to go to a movie or a theater. I want to shop in the village.’
Sedgwick, he is a native New Yorker, Bacon said that not wanting to raise her children in isolation prompted the couple to “the biggest battle we’ve ever had in our lives.”
Bacon and Sedgwick shared Travis, 35, and Sosi, 33.

At that time, Kyra was determined to transfer her son Travis to a school in Manhattan and rented an apartment for her family to live in.
Bacon said at the time: “footloose,” “tremors,” “their financial situation is not the best place for this transition.
Bacon said in hindsight: “This is the greatest thing we’ve ever done. She’s right. Raising a kid in Manhattan is the best idea.”

The actor added: “We finally figured out a way to afford an apartment. I did go to work. I was afraid of all these things that didn’t happen, she was right. She was right. You know, again.”
Bacon and Sedgwick After meeting in 1988 on “Lemon Sky”, they got married in 1988. The actress recalls that the actor will invite the entire actor to dinner during the filming, hoping Sedgwick will attend.
Sedgwick never attended dinner, and Bacon made suggestions for the “The Woodsman” star to have a massage at his hotel and they could have dinner afterwards – the rest is history.
Even though the couple decided to raise their children in Manhattan, they chose to protect their children from “teeth and nails” success in Hollywood.

“We really didn’t do that when we raised our reputation and took my kids to premiere and had them watch my movies and showed them an article of an article,” Bacon said. “We really avoided it. I think we really felt like they had some… we knew how weird it was in our life.”

He continued: “When you realize you will always…there is always a chance to get out of the house, and someone will know who you are, or look at you, or from one of the things you do, you start leaving, you start leaving, ‘Okay,’ OK.
Bacon chose to protect his children from the harsh reality of fame, “because they have no choice.”

Bacon explained on “The Last Meal”: “That’s it.” I’m the one who fights for it. But, for them, it’s something they impose on them. ”
He added: “I just feel like, let them figure out what they are. That’s how our parents are. I keep telling them, ‘It must be hard for you. Please, tell me. I want to know. I’m sitting with your therapist, it’s OK.’ “You might be angry with me…they just won’t go there.” They won’t admit that having one of them is difficult. ”
Now his children are adults and they are free to make their own choices. One of them was starring with their famous parents in the horror movie Family Movie.

“It’s a dream,” Bacon told Us Weekly.

“We just love hanging out with our kids. But the crazy thing isn’t always, but occasionally, they like to hang out with us, so that’s the S–is there because you raise them and a lot of the time, it doesn’t translate into a constant, lasting intimacy.”

Bacon told the media that he and his “very close” family never took their connection “for granted”.
“We’re all doing different things. Travis works, Kyra works separately, I work separately, Sosie has been working all the time. There’s only this idea. [of being] Being able to work together is gold. ”
