Former ESPN and MSNBC Host Keith Alberman This week expanded the torrent of his controversial social media attacks, this time targeting current ESPN star Stephen A. Smith.
Smith weighs ABC’s decision to pull indefinitely Jimmy Kimmel On Thursday’s podcast, a recent speech about the assassination of Charlie Kirk. Smith criticized Kimmel, his colleague at Walt Disney Company.
Smith said of Kimmel’s joke: “Where is the joke? Because you’re a late night master – obviously, it has the attachment of a comedian. Where is the joke? Obviously, it’s not fun.”
Olbermann condemned Smith for criticizing Kimmel, indicating that sports experts “prostitutes are heading to the right-wing prostitutes.”

Olbermann has been under scrutiny in recent days for controversial X posts, targeting Kirk and Sinclair broadcast groups criticizing Kimmel.

Kimmel accused conservatives of hitting a “new low” when fixing left-wing ideology on 22-year-old suspect Tyler Robinson, despite prosecutors reiterating the links in Tuesday’s indictment.

Smith expressed sympathy for the “comedian” when criticizing Kimmel’s joke, but still insisted that Kimmel’s confrontation with President Donald Trump was not “wise”.
“I wasn’t happy with it when Jimmy Kimmel was cancelled. Not at all,” Smith said. “Because I do think he’s a good guy. I do think his heart is in the right place. I do think he’s incredible service to the ABC and the Walt Disney family.”
“I certainly hope that he ends up going back to the air and that if he doesn’t come back to the air, I hope he lives a long and enjoyable life.
“Saying all this doesn’t mean I don’t have the right to say what happened between him and him [President Donald Trump] It doesn’t seem to be the smartest move in the world. ”
