Kayak Co-founder Paul English is back with a new adventure – this time, he is accepting the calendar. Entrepreneurs have been established superThis is a free scheduling platform designed to make booking meetings more efficient and simple.
Supercal was born out of personal experience in English, in the challenge of booking meetings. As an eight board member, English says he and others often work hard to coordinate the timeline. He then set out to create an email system for booking group meetings and challenge the calendar by building similar tools that offer similar features but free features.
“People don’t have a limited edition calendar or paid version, but they’re $12 a month, and people can get all of these features for free in Supercal,” English told TechCrunch in accepting TechCrunch.
With Supercal’s group scheduling feature, you can email a group of people and by reading each person’s calendar, find a time for everyone, book a meeting time, and reply to the details of the email thread.

Supercal lets you sync up to six calendars, so you can put your work, personal and other schedules in one place. It offers eight different meeting types, including 15-minute, 30-minute and 60-minute slots, as well as VIP meeting types, providing full access to important situations in your calendar.
There are also breakfast, lunch, coffee and dinner types. In the future, these meeting types will feature open table integration, allowing you to book meetings in a restaurant or coffee shop.
Supercal includes other features such as meeting context tables, automatic guest time zone detection, reminders and pre-built templates to help you stay organized.

Although Super Frequency is free to use, English and Team Plans use premium features that users can extend the service by subscribing to unlock, while making current features free.
“One of the things we’re really interested in for the long term is not only setting up meetings, but it can also help you make sure that meetings are really impactful,” said English.

For example, if you have already set up a transcription service for a meeting, Supercal can provide feedback on how the meeting is going. This may include insights like you speak too quickly, 150 words per minute, too low volume, or you use too many fill words. The goal behind this is to help coach users become more effective speakers in meetings.
Furthermore, English believes that Supercal will ultimately help users reduce meetings and make them more influential.
In the future, Supercal will be able to help improve the efficiency of the meeting by making feedback on whether to make any action items or decisions. Additionally, it will be able to identify meetings with low participation rates and less progress and suggest that they may no longer need them.
Supercal is available on the Internet. The company said it plans to explore browser and email plugins as well as iOS and Android apps in the future.
