Kathie Lee Gifford Talk about how President Donald Trump rescued her and her newborn daughter from dangerous stalkers.
In a recent interview with The Saint Steele Show, the 71-year-old TV character became excited when he recalled the incident 31 years ago. Gifford said she and her young daughter Cassidy were on their way to Atlantic City, where Gifford would host the Miss America pageant when her late husband Frank Gifford Frank Gifford was told she had encountered a death threat.
“The FBI called my husband and they said, ‘Mr. Gifford, we have a problem. This is a guy. It’s a really, really bad guy. [He] Is a psychopath – a rapist and murderer. He comes to find your wife. ” she shared.

Gifford, along with her young daughter and a babysitter, is about to leave a van and drive three hours to Atlantic City when Frank gets a call from the FBI. She tells how the FBI asked Frank’s family to develop an original plan so they wouldn’t tip.

“They said, ‘We want you, Mr. Gifford, to keep your schedule only and let your wife keep her schedule because of this person, we don’t want him to know we’re around him,'” Gifford Fude said.
Gifford said the FBI told Frank that the man “raped and tortured” his aunt. She explained that the man’s aunt had managed to escape long enough to call the police.
“That’s why I’ll love this person all my life.”
“I didn’t hear it until the other day. I was told how she finally got rid of it. [him],” Gifford said. “He left. He stole her keys and told her: “Now I’m going to follow Casey Lee.””
The daytime Emmy Award winner recalled that Frank told the FBI that he did not agree with him and Gifford retaining the usual schedule until he called him.
“He called Donald,” she said.

Gifford explained that she always stayed at Trump Square and the casino while in Atlantic City, which made it easy for the man to know where he was.
“Frank called Donald and said, “Donald, we have that,” Gifford recalls.
“That’s why I’ll love this person all my life,” she said. Trump When she cried. “He said, ‘Frank, you don’t have to worry. I have your girl. I have your girl. You don’t have to worry.’
“So Frank came back to the FBI and said, ‘I called Donald Trump. He said he was taking care of my wife and my daughter.”

Gifford said at the time, she was “knowing nothing about the threat” and was surprised when she received a call from Trump, who told her that he was sending his helicopter to take her to his hotel.

“I said, ‘Donald, why? He said, “Because you have a child.” ‘I said, “Donald, women have babies every day. It’s no big deal. Thanks. But it’s no big deal. He said, ‘No, congratulations. Glad for you… [I’m] She sends my helicopter for you and your baby and your babysitter. ” she recalled.
Gifford recalled that she tried to convince him, but Trump was determined. “The next day, he sent a helicopter.”
In addition to sending helicopters, Trump was also welcomed by four members of Trump’s security team when he arrived in Atlantic City.
“I mean, these guys are the main, big, they’re like, ‘Mrs. Gifford, Mrs. Trump wants you to know we’re here for you,” Gifford said. “I don’t know them What are you talking about.”
Gifford said she hasn’t asked further why Trump sent him to protect her since she was born and “had a variety of things.”

Gifford had some free time on the day of the pageant, so she headed to the hall. She recalled why security guards stationed outside her hotel room were confused throughout the week.
“I just never thought about it, you know?” she said. “I’m just… stupid. But he never said it. No one said a word to me.”
When she arrived at the hall, Gifford was shocked to see a newspaper with a title about death threats. She contacted the pageant organizer and he asked her if she had reconsidered hosting and performances at the event due to the threat.

“I said, ‘Hell, no,’” she recalled. “No one will scare me.
“And I understood everything,” she said. “I understand everything Donald did. I understand what Frank did, you know, don’t be afraid, all of that.”

Gifford said she went to the pageant and was taken home by another route. She later realized that an FBI officer had been guarding her 3-year-old son Cody at her home in Connecticut. Gifford said the next day, she and Cody went to a movie theater where she was informed by the FBI that the man had been caught.
“In the middle of the movie, a FBI guy left,”Mrs. Gifford, we got this son of b —.” She recalled, “I said, ‘Thank you so much for me,” ‘”

At the beginning of the episode, Gifford explains that she rarely shared the story of how Trump helped her before, because it was too late Pastor Billy Graham She was warned a long time ago to stay away from politics.
“He said, ‘Just telling people that God loves them,'” Gifford recalls. “That’s what I did over the years. You’ve never heard of what I said about politics.

Gifford said she knew Graham would understand why she had to be “very honest” now and yelled at how Trump saved her.

However, she explained that she still “has politics” and does not like some of Trump’s comments.
“I wince sometimes. I’ll go, ‘Donald no, no.’ “That’s not someone I know, you know?” But the story I just told you is the man I know.
“That’s my friend Donald,” Gifford said. “Save my life. Save my daughter’s life. If I call him today, [he] Will be saved again. ”
