He concluded: “If you agree with Kash Patel, you will make a ruling on the day of this vote because the American people will hold you accountable and we will make sure that the American people are aware of this vote.”
The Senate will vote to pass the debate to end Patel’s nomination early in the morning and hold a final confirmation vote in the afternoon.
Senator Dick Durbin, a member of the Judiciary Committee, presided over the morning newspaper and told reporters: “My Senate Republican colleagues deliberately ignored the enemies perceived by countless red flags about Mr. Patel.”

“This is an extremely dangerous flaw for those trying to lead the strongest domestic investigative agency in the United States for the next 10 years,” he added.
Dubin and the committee’s Democrats responded to their claims earlier this month that Patel had terminated the FBI command, allegedly lied at his confirmation hearing.
They said the “highly credible” whistleblower’s report noted that Patel “personally directed FBI employees to continue to clear the post before the Senate confirmed.”
But representatives of Patel’s nomination efforts absolutely denied the allegation and delayed Durbin’s claim that Patel had any involvement.
