“As the president is very clear, Mike Walz remains a vital part of his national security team,” Levitt told the media in a brief speech Monday afternoon during a loud shouting outside the White House Newsroom. “For our part, the case has been closed at the White House.”
“Some steps have been taken to make sure something like this obviously never happens again,” she continued. “And we are moving forward. The President and Mike Waltz and his entire national security team are very cooperative, if you see the level of security in the United States of America is because of the leadership of that team.”
The Trump administration is under scrutiny by Democrats and other critics, editor-in-chief Jeffrey Goldberg in the Atlantic National Security Leaderincluding Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth and CIA Director John Ratcliffe, including Waltz.

The Atlantic report describes the Trump administration as a “war plan” about a planned strike against the Houthi rebels in Yemen. However, the Trump administration insists that there is no transmission of confidential material in the chat, and Trump repeatedly defends waltz in the consequences.

Waltz is responsible for journalists’ inclusion in high-profile group chats, including in an interview with Laura Ingraham of Fox News.
“I set up a group. My job is to make sure everything is coordinated,” Walz said on “Ingrahan Point.”
“Of course, I didn’t see this loser in the group. It looked like someone else,” Walz added. “I thought there was never anyone there.”

Leavitt told the media on Wednesday that the government is investigating the incident and explained that Elon Musk’s team is also assisting in the investigation.
“The National Security Council, the White House lawyers’ office and Elon Musk’s team” will lead the investigation into the signal leak,” Levitt said at a White House press conference.

She continued: “Elon Musk offered to introduce his technician to this point to figure out how this number was accidentally added to the chat – again, to take responsibility and make sure that this number never happens again.”

Trump slams the media On Sunday afternoon, in a social post on truth, the group chat reported it as a “never-ending signal story.”

“They just stopped and stopped – they went over and over! Meeting fake news should explain how successful the attack was and what Joe Biden should have done years ago,” he said.
“This story and narrative is so old and boring, but it’s just because we have the most successful ‘first hundred presidential eras’ in American history, and they can’t find anything else to talk about. Fake news media have earned the lowest level of recognition in history and have good reason to get America again!!!”
