First on Fox: Denver – John Ramsey Been murdered In 1996, President Donald Trump was asked to help push Colorado authorities to take a more aggressive approach to addressing the infamous killings.
Ramsey, who criticized the Boulder Police Department’s efforts to address Christmas killings, proposed fundraising to pay for investigative genetic genealogy, a new technology that has been used to address high-profile cold cases such as the Golden State Killer.
“I told DA that money shouldn’t be restrictive,” Ramsey told Fox News Digital in an interview at Crimecon in Denver on Saturday. “I need to get Donald Trump on them. He’ll stir things up one way or another, but we have to let them do that.”

“If he’s involved…the cookie barrel (the problem),” he added, referring to Trump’s criticism of the restaurant chain’s brief rebranding of the logo. “It’s much bigger than a cookie barrel. Help us. That’s the most important thing.”

Trump has commented and has previously intervened in criminal cases. In July, he measured a plea agreement that would kill the 2022 University of Idaho students for the life of Bryan Kohberger.
“These are vicious murders, so many problems have not been resolved,” Trump wrote on his truth social platform at the time. “While life imprisonment is difficult, it is certainly better than accepting the death penalty, but before the sentence, I hope the judge will at least make Koberg explain why he committed these horrible murders.”
In 2019, he called for the release of New York-based rapper A$AP Rocky, who was charged with being attacked in Sweden.

Now, he believes that genetic genealogy may be the key to solving the case.
“I absolutely believe this is the gold standard today,” Ramsey said. “So, as far as I think it should happen, I’ve been working on it. I don’t know they’re doing it.
“For me, it wouldn’t be clear about it, but I don’t know how to do it,” he added. “All I can do is ask.”
Saturday, Ramsey Announced the petition Colorado lawmakers are asked to align state laws with the Federal Homicide Victims’ Family Rights Act, which gives victims the right to require a cold cut review in federal handling investigations that have not been found.

In the earlier Crimichen state of Las Vegas, Ramsey announced the start of a petition asking Colorado Gov. Jared Polis to allow an independent agency to perform modern DNA testing in this case, rather than the Boulder Police Department.
Her mother, Patsy Ramsey, reportedly disappeared on December 26, 1996 after discovering a ransom note asking for $118,000. John Ramsey found her body later that day in the basement of the Boulder House.
The autopsy showed that Jonter died of blackmail and a head blow.
Ramsey has long criticized the department for its “arrogance,” “pride,” “self,” and inexperienced experience when his daughter was killed.

This investigation will always be a priority for the Boulder Police Department.”
