Klein Better buildcannot be implemented in a lasting and meaningful way.

Build Back Better is a national economic investment program that proposes BIDEN early in its tenure, which attempts to allocate nearly $2 trillion in U.S. infrastructure investments – nearly a quarter will be spent on climate change projects.

Although the plan was not passed by Congress, Biden was able to better re-examine the elements of Build Build during his term, including the U.S. rescue plan.

During the podcast, Klein described Stewart’s tedious funding for state and other jurisdictions to make building better funds to build broadband internet in rural America – so much that only three of the 56 entities seeking these grants could be obtained through this “14-phase process.”

“By the end of 2024, the three have reached the end of the process,” Klein said. “Three of these 56?” asked Stewart. Klein confirmed.

“The end of the process means they have taken action? They have built it up,” Stewart said.

Klein said, “No, no, no. Oh, of course not. I’m not saying they’ve built it, Jon. Sorry…I’m confused you.” “Oh, dear God,” Stewart replied, putting his head in his hand.

“Theory, they can get the money to build it,” Klein clarified.

Stewart then invited his guests to list the 14-stage process, where he detailed how to submit a letter of intent, ask for a program grant and propose a five-year action plan, each of which must be approved by multiple government agencies.

Klein shocked Stewart, saying that completing these actions can only bring the entity to the “fifth step” and it took everyone three years to get to that point along the way.

As Klein continued to read these guidelines, Stewart shouted, “Oh my goodness!” Then he began to mock the traditional tape festival that the state and jurisdictions had to pass.

“So I did NOFO [Notice of Funding Opportunity]a letter of intent, a request for a program grant, and then review, approve and award a program grant, followed by a five-year action plan. In between, the federal government must come up with a map that it believes we need rural broadband subsidies. Then, of course, the states need an opportunity to challenge the accuracy of the map,” Klein added, “You can imagine that this isn’t happening all day long. ”

Stewart leaned in his seat, his arms out of his best to react to the growing list. Still, Klein continued, “It’s hard to even talk about this, man.”

Guests keep listing the steps, and Stewart often responds to “Oh my goodness.”

Eventually, Klein began to criticize the Biden administration and said: “It’s Biden gives medicineThe process of billing yourself. They hope this happens. This is how the liberal government works now. ”

“Oh, wow,” the host said, losing it when Klein reads Step 12, “the state must run a competitive granting process.”

After Klein detailed the steps, Stewart admitted: “I was speechless. Honestly, it was much worse than I thought; but they had amputated their legs in this regard, which was so amazing.”
