House Speaker Mike Johnson slams California government Gavin Newsom His “anti-Christian rhetoric” follows the deadly shooting in Minnesota.
Speaking at the first press conference since lawmakers returned from a long recess, Johnson noted that the Democratic governor had personally jabed him in recent weeks and accused the news agency of “shameless” sneering at the victims of ridicule. Louisiana Republican points out Newsom’s News Secretary’s post about X Karoline Leavitthe condemned comments from MSNBC commentator and former White House press secretary Jen Psaki, criticized the pouring of “thoughts and prayers” and the lack of attention to gun control.
Leavitt slams Psaki’s comments for being “very insensitive and disrespectful” to Americans in the United States.

Johnson called Newsom’s remarks “ill”.

“I mean, why do we do that? Why do you do that? Except you starve to death,” he said. “It’s abominable. Two children were murdered. A dozen hospitalized, Gavin Newsom’s response was to sneer and condemn those who were looking for our creators in the darkest moments.”
“I just thought yes, I just thought it was evil. In fact, it showed such a profound moral decay that the only hope of Gavin Newsom is praying.”
Fox News Digital contacted Newsom’s office but did not hear it immediately.

“The way forward is to resolve the mental health crisis and give law enforcement crimes, just as President Trump has done here in the capital of our country,” he said.
Although Republicans condemned the shooting, accusing Democrats of the attack and calling for prayers in the consequences, Democratic lawmakers took a different route similar to Newsom.
