Progressive actor John Leguizamo defends Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) In Friday’s episode of “The View,” the moves told the panel about “500 Years of Oppression.”
In a Friday appearance ABC daytime talk show, Leguizamo criticized President Donald Trump’s executive order ending federal support for the DEI program.
“It’s so scary,” he said. “I mean, the plaques of black and Latino and female heroes were removed. I mean, what kind of action was that? It’s like a club with only white.”

Leguizamo also suggested that DEI should give minorities “fair” formerly victims of apartheid, lynching, red lines and other discriminatory practices.
He continued: “This is 500 years of oppression. Give us fairness. Give us a chance to reach the same level as others.”
After Leguizamo claimed that Americans supported DEI, co-host Joy Behar said whites did not like diversity programs because it jeopardized their “control.”

“Some white people,” Legsamor replied, obtaining the agreement from Baikal. “I don’t think it’s white. But some white people don’t want that diversity, which is why [Trump] It must be demonized. ”
Leguizamo has been a strong supporter of the U.S. diversity program.
