Hards at Palm Beach, Fla. – Two days after Joe Highsmith has made the Putt to Nery to make the cut lower weekend of PGA National and go to the masters.
Highmasmith rallying from a four-shaped Sunday with three straight virids to cross the PGAs in the first 64 to win his first PGA tour title.
“Winning is the last thing I think,” Polesmith said. “It’s unbelievable to go outside. I’m playing probably the best round of my life.”
Highsmith has a little help from Jake Knapp, opening the tournament with 59 and tied it until the water shot and two more to exit.
KNAPP, trying to be the first wire-to-wire winner in the tournament history, there was a shot leading when his Wedge in 11th has emerged water to melt. He tried to debate and he rolled the slope and back into the water. He tried again, this time the ball holding in moderation.
“Doesn’t hit any of them so hard, unfortunately,” says Knapp.
She will be with a triple bogey and never attract. Knapp did not make another birdie in the rest of the way, shut down in a 72 and tied to the sixth with Michael Kim (71), playing with him in the last group.
Jacob Bridgeman closed a 64 and JJ Spaun has 66 to share the second place.
“I try to make many birdies I can,” says Bridgan. “I know I have to do something different today to get the leaders, and I arrested them, but they were in the ninth hole.”
His runner-up finish is enough to get him in Arnold Palmer Invitational next week.
Holysmith, a 24-year-old side of a bucket hat and a wide smile, becomes the first player to cut the number and winning from Brandt Snedker in Torrey Peses in 2016.
With many players in the mixture to go to the final round, it is placed a wild finish, and five players have at least one side of a point.
Highsmith eliminates the drama of the last hour with an unintentional round and an unforgettable weekend playing 38 feet in 38.
He added a 15-foot birdie Putt on the 13th to control, and then his birlie sealed it putting the slope on the 17th.
Highsmith all smiles from the 18th green with his caddy Joe Lacava IV, the son of Caddy in the Mosters Freds coprings in 2019, and currently working for Patrick CANDLAY.
Highsmith is the second first season winner for many weeks, following Brian Campbell who won the open Mexican. He finished 19-under 265 and took a lot of perks. Along with the acquisition of an area of masters and PGA Championship, highsmith remaining five paralytical events, starting next week at Bay Hill.
Jordan Spieth has four birdies in five holes around the way through to get into the room in a 68 to tie the Survent to Whist August.
Florida State Junior Lucas Clanton, who earned a PGA Tour Card by PGA Tour University Program by making the cut, shot 69 and tied to 18th.
Highsmith shot in the lowest 72-hole score since the tournament moved to PGA National, holding two PGA championships and a course of Ryder, in 2007.
“I got that always Chabayted there and the wind fell, but it was a tens of golf golf, and it was the best golf I saw in a golf course for a while,” says Spieth. “The good golf is crazy there.”
