House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries is now calling for Democrats Secretary of Defense Pete Heggs To resign from the resignation leaked from the signal text chain, write to President Donald Trump, asking him to be “fired immediately.”
“Pete Hegseth is the most unqualified Secretary of Defense in U.S. history. He is Pentagon Threat the security of the country and put our brave men and women in danger around the world,” said Democrats in New York.
“The so-called Secretary of Defense recklessly disclosed a highly sensitive war plan – including the time of pending attacks, possible strike targets and weapons to be used – to persist an unclassified national security team chat, allowing journalists to include a journalist. His actions shocked the conscience, put American lives at risk and could violate the law,” Jeffries continued. ”
He added: “Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth should be fired immediately.”

Hegseth on Tuesday boycotted reporters’ questions about a leaked signal chat group allegedly involved in Trump administration officials, discussing a strike against Houthis, Yemen. The strike then took place on March 15.
Atlantic editor-in-chief Jeffrey Goldberg said officials were discussing “the war plan” but because of potential threats to national security and military operations, he decided not to release some of the highly sensitive information he saw, including precise information about weapons packages, goals and timing.
The secretary repeated that he said “no one was sending a texting plan”, delaying Goldberg’s claim.

He also said: “I know exactly what I’m doing, the exact guidance, and I’m proud of what we’ve achieved, the mission that was successful that night.”
