Fox News Contributor Jason Chaffetz introduces Charlie Kirk, the founder of the U.S. turning point shot at an event at Utah Valley University on Wednesday.
“I stood up on the second floor because I wanted to get into the shadows, but our daughter was there, and the son of the girl was there,” Chafitz said. “My wife was there. Friends. It’s our community. You know, there are about 2,000 people. Utah Valley University is our largest university with 40,000 students and people come out and listen to the back and forth conversations and ask him anything. That’s the turning point and Charlie Kirk’s whole purpose, asking him anything. ”
The first question in the event was about religion and lasted “about 15 to 20 minutes.” Chafez noted that the second question was a question before Kirk was shot, about “transgender mass shooters.”

I happened to look at Charlie. I can’t say I saw him shot, but with one shot, he fell down, hitting left and everyone hit the deck. Many people started screaming. Everyone starts running as you expect. Then, what you expect is the appearance of the police. Some security checks did not occur.
He added: “I just hope and pray that I will survive somehow.”
Chaffetz described the incident as largely peaceful ahead of the shooting, saying even if the protesters were “not destructive and very respectful.”
Although mostly “shocked” by what happened, former Utah delegates wondered if politics was a factor in the shooting.

“Orem, Utah is one of the safest places on the planet, so we just don’t have these types of things. We don’t have murderers let alone shootings, let alone something of this magnitude and like I said, there was a light police presence. I am sure, I hope, there was some undercover people. Charlie has his own bit of security, but not to deal with a couple thousands people that were there to see Charlie,” Chaffetz said.

He added: “I think when this story is written, I think when you have questions about trans mass shootings, the shooting will sound. Hopefully I’m wrong. I might be criticized for coming to a conclusion, but I just told you in about 30 minutes or so, but I don’t think it’s a coincidence, but we’ll see.”

Chafez also praised Kirk’s organizational and political efforts to reach the next generation.
“He’s one of them. I really thought we’d say president for years from now on for a few years Charlie Kirk Because for a generation, no one speaks to them like him. He built a coalition and based on policies and arguments. It is based on a belief and challenged person who is stimulating a younger generation who has not got it in the classroom. ”
