Walkinshaw He served as Chief of Staff at Connolly for more than a decade and was recognized by representatives before his death. He defeated nine other candidates in June for the Democratic nomination.
Before the election, Walkinshaw Vowed to fight the White House, especially attacks against federal workers.

“Our community needs a member of Congress who is committed to fighting with anyone who attacks our community and who has a record of findings.” Walkinshaw said in the July debate.
Whitson is a new political worker working at the Government Accountability Foundation (a conservative think tank based on DC). During the campaign, he highlighted his military service and legislative advocacy for conservative policies.
