Israel denies entering two British MP Those accused of planning to “spread anti-Israel hatred.”
Two Labour members of the parliament, Yuan Yang and Abtisam Mohamed, were briefly detained over the weekend and denied entering Israel because they allegedly had plans to “record security forces’ activities and spread anti-Israel hatred”, Israel’s immigration bureau Tell Sky News.
Israeli officials told the media that Young and Mohammed travelled with two aides who said they were going to Israel “as part of a formal parliamentary delegation.”
Officials said the immigration agents did not find “evidence in support of the claim… they were traveling as part of the formal delegation.”

Israeli officials added: “No politicians or government officials know they are coming.”
Arab-British Understanding Council claims that legislators are part of the delegation organized by the organization and medical assistance to Palestinians.

“It is important that parliamentarians can witness first-hand the situation in the occupied Palestinian territory,” they wrote. “We are two members of Congress who have spoken in Parliament in recent months about the Israel-Palestinian conflict and the importance of compliance with international humanitarian law. Parliamentarians should speak truthfully in the House of Commons without fear of being targeted.”
