Semiconductor giant Intel has been growing its senior leadership since Lip-bu Tan took office in March.
Intel announced on Monday that Michelle Johnston Holthaus will leave the company in more than three decades. Johnston Holthhaus, who is recently CEO of Intel Products, will continue to be a strategic consultant.
According to Intel, the company also announced the establishment of a central engineering group that will establish a new custom silicon business for external customers. The group will be led by Srinivasan “Srini” Iyengar, who joined Intel from Cadence Design Systems in July.
Intel also said former ARM’s Kevok Kechichian will join the company’s head of data center group. Jim Johnson has been appointed Senior Vice President and General Manager of Intel Client Computing Group. Naga Chandrasekaran, the principal technology and operations officer at Intel Foundry, is also playing an expanded role, the company’s business unit builds custom chips for external customers.
