“Barry” always takes the discomfort of the murdered protagonist, and the question of sympathy for his eponymous character is particularly acute in these plots, as the character is in prison. When Barry asked, “Are you angry with me?” With almost strange innocence, at least in a moment, even a sense of revenge, Jim Moss (Robert Wisdom) could not forget some of the horrible things he did.

That said, the show’s surreal off-topics and detour fantasies become more distracting, an approach that can sometimes be a bit too precious. Consistent saving grace is the power of actors, even if prisons create obstacles to their interactions.
HBO made the most but not all seasons, and the series effectively puts the audience on the edge and guesses where it ends and whether (or whether) its various threads will connect.
The possibility of everyone in “Barry” having a happy ending never seems to be in the card, but Hard and co-creator Alec Berg seem determined to take his own opinions (mostly) out of their own meanings, and occasionally frustrating. That’s why it’s hard to get angry in a show like this, even if the season isn’t that kind of killer, that’s the case.
“Barry” will begin its fourth and final season on HBO at 10 p.m. on April 14, and like CNN, it is the unit found by Warner Bros.
