Conservative lawmakers in Illinois are sending alerts to a bill that could see huge changes Homeschool Rules In the Prairie State.
The Family School Act, also known as HB2827, will authorize Parents homeschool To complete the Home School Statement Form, which can essentially be registered with its nearest public school district.
Under the introduction of the bill, the children of parents who did not fill out the form are considered “false school and apply to penalties.” It also requires records of immunization and health checks for children who wish to attend public school activities.
“[If a] Children in the home school program are intended to attend public schools part-time or attend any public school activity on or within the scope of the school, and the home school administrator must submit evidence that the child has received all necessary immunization and health checks or signed a religious exemption certificate. ”

The bill also “stipulates requirements for homeschool administrators and programs and reporting requirements.”
“[The bill] “Comparison and other changes are made to the Freedom of Information Act, School Code, and the Illinois School Student Records Act, including requiring (rather than allowing) non-public schools to be registered with the state board of education,” the introduction concluded.
The Illinois Board of Education’s Education Policy Committee is reviewing the bill Wednesday — but opposition lawmakers encourage voters to submit witness slips and falls to prevent the bill from further progress. Illinois Sen. Neil Anderson said on Facebook that 30,000 witness sheets have been submitted.
“After nearly 30,000 witnesses opposed this attack on us Private and homeschooling, “We need the public to resubmit their witness slides at 8 a.m. tomorrow’s House Education Policy Committee meeting,” the Republicans wrote.

“Let your voice hear and protect our homeschool rights!”
Chris Miller, a Republican representative in the Illinois House, also attracted attention to the bill in a Facebook post.
“HB2827 plans to be a House Education Policy Committee tomorrow,” Miller wrote. “As a father of seven families educated children, I find the bill a direct attack on Illinois families!”
Some left-leaning politicians also expressed concerns about HB2827. Illinois state representative La Shawn Ford, a Democrat, told local media center square that he was “not suitable.”

“From the voters I received from me, I understand why they don’t like it,” Ford quoted. “Losing autonomy is the main problem for them to lose autonomy over their children, which is why they choose to homeschool. They want to control their children’s education, including curriculum, teaching methods and philosophy.”
