ICE director accuses CBS of trying to ‘stop Secretary Noem from telling the truth’

Todd Lyons, acting director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), said it was a “stigma” that CBS News allegedly edited the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) secretary Comments by Kristi Noem In “Facing the Country”.

Noem claimed on X that CBS had half of the answers to Kilmar Abrego Garcia, and “the threat he posed to American public safety” to “paint the truth.” CBS replied that the editor was for time and provided a full response on the show’s online transcript and YouTube page.

“It made the fact that they wanted to move on and stop Norm from telling the truth is frustrating. No one would read the transcript. No one would go to YouTube. At the time you had millions of viewers watching this at the show on Sunday morning, watching the matter, and there was no key conversation,” Lyons said. ”

Lyons praised Noem and Trump Administration for their transparency in the ice operation and the arrests and deportations, including Garcia.

“In the last administration, we were always on defense in the media,” Lyon said. “Now, we want to make sure that the public knows every day what men and women on the ice do there. In the interview, she talked about the criminal and why he needed to be deported back to his country. I think it was a shame and they would keep editing because this guy is not “the man from Maryland.” He is a criminal alien from El Salvador, who lives in Maryland and we need to leave the streets.”

In the aired clip, Nome was asked why the Trump administration worked to expel Garcia instead of forcing him to face charges in the United States.

“The prosecution ruling is always made by the Department of Justice and Pam Bondi’s department, so we’ll let them do that, even though this person does have criminal charges.

The live streaming section cuts off the rest of her answers, directing to Ed O’Keefe to the next question on whether the government will still seek to deport him to Uganda.

Norm posted all her replies on X.
