“Lucky me,” I thought as I navigated the 2025 Hyundai Ioniq 5 to the last location at the Tesla Supercharged Station in Palm Springs.
Electric cars really don’t need any juice. But this refreshed compact all-electric SUV comes with Tesla’s North American charging standard port; now is the time to test how well Hyundai matches Tesla’s supercharged network.

It’s hard to find the 2025 Hyundai Ioniq 5 failure. This is the refreshed Ioniq 5 that keeps the sidewalks full and brings some adventure to the new XRT trim. But despite this integrated NACS port, owners may find themselves avoiding Tesla’s supercharger.
