Huntington Park City Hall and mayor’s home raided by law enforcement as part of corruption probe

Law enforcement officers are executing a series of search warrants in Huntington Park, including town hall and homes of current council members as part of a corruption investigation, government and law enforcement officials said.

The search warrant appears to be conducted by the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office. An office spokesperson did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Macias did not immediately respond to comment requests via text or phone call.

The sources said at least two former council members were targeted as well. Law enforcement officials said the investigation appears to be centered around the alleged abuse of public funds related to the township projects in the regional water center. Sources said investigators are looking at public funds, contractors and documents related to the project.
