Authorities said human remains were found in a Tesla tree trunk in a Hollywood trailer on Monday afternoon.
ABC7 The report said the car had been registered with David Anthony Burke, whose stage name was D4VD. The singer is expected to perform in Minneapolis on Tuesday for his world tour.
According to Charles Miller, the Los Angeles Police Department responded to the Hollywood trailer on Mansfield Avenue at 12:20 p.m. Monday. Someone smelled the odor of the front trunk of the vehicle and sent a detective to investigate the possible existence of human remains.
KTLA5 reports that the car is a Tesla with a Texas license plate and was towed from the Hollywood Hills after being abandoned five days ago.
Miller said the case has been listed as a death investigation. There are no other details to be released on Tuesday.
