Architecture speaks very much about how any culture sees the world and its values that guide it. When Americans think of buildings that best reflect our value, we think of buildings, White House, White House, Supreme Courtand the Lincoln and Jefferson Memorial.
All these structures have something in common: they are beautiful, emitting light from stones. There are some things they will make you look up, take notice and be proud. More importantly, they reflect classical architectures tested by time, dating back to ancient Greek and Roman traditions.
George Washington and Thomas Jefferson emphasize classical architecture while helping Design the capital of the United States. Jefferson praised the construction of the U.S. Capitol as “the first temple dedicated to people’s sovereignty, embellishing the route of a country far beyond Athenian destiny with Athenian flavors.” Washington praised the “magnificence, simplicity and beauty” of the Capitol neoclassical design.

The founder began a classical tradition that lasted for nearly 150 years. It inspired the construction of beautiful buildings throughout the United States, such as the Birch bayh US Courthouse in Indianapolis – a Beaux Arts Design founded in 1905. It is constructed from Indiana limestone with ion columns and a grand courtroom.
The Internet distorts the problem Trump really wants to solve about our museum
Another great example is the Tippecanoe County Courthouse in Lafayette, Indiana. The sculpture and dome roof were completed in 1884, and its three-story bell tower made the court one of the most beautiful public buildings in Indiana.
But since the 1960s, our National Government has stopped Prioritize beautiful buildings. Today, less than 10% of new government buildings are classic or traditional molds. Ugly structures emerged, including the savage concrete hulk of Washington, such as the FBI headquarters and the Department of Housing and Urban Development. Three different HUD secretaries – a Republican and two Democrats – compared their buildings to the 10th floor of the basement.
Recently, we have obtained a new court similar to the Strange Art Project, which in some cases blatantly undermined the values of our nation. Nancy Pelosi’s architect at the Federal Building in San Francisco publicly stated that his work has taken a “positive attitude” to the public.

Trump is the right to bring laws and orders back to the District of Columbia
To overturn this trend, I (Senator) will introduce the Beautification of the Federal Citizens’ Building Act soon. It makes the president edit Donald TrumpExecute the order “Make Federal Building Beautiful Again”. My bill, like that order, requires that new federal buildings “elevate and beautify public places, inspire the human spirit, attract America, and be respected by the public.”
My legislation does not offer any specific style to buildings across the country – it only requires a preference for classical and traditional architectural design, which includes everything from neoclassical to decorative art to Romanesque artworks to Pueblo renaissance.
My bill also requires federal agencies to gather Major The local community is invested when choosing the design of federal buildings. Currently, federal agencies have to consider the buildings they want that people want absolutely zero. My legislation is reversed to ensure that the public has a say in the design of their government buildings.

Our country still has the ability to build beautiful and dignified public buildings that encourage civic virtues. The Tuscaloosa Federal Building and Courthouse, which opened in 2012, proved this. Its classical design not only conveys strength and beauty; more impressively, it is done on time and on budget. It proves that beautiful designs don’t have to come at the expense of financial responsibility.

The truth is, most Americans like Classical architecture Building for their government. The National Citizen Arts Association/Harris Poll in 2020 surveyed 2,000 American adults and found that 72% of Americans prefer traditional design. The majority in each population group favors this approach, which includes 70% of Democrats and 73% of Republicans.
Admittedly, some cultural elites will defend even the ugliest design. Those social activists complained that classicism reflected the Western civilization of the founding era and the values and history of the United States. Accused of guilt.

These critics are right, but not the way they believe. Our public buildings are designed to involve more than just aesthetics and beauty. This is also a debate about Western values: who we are, and we want to be a country. Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan, who is passionate about architecture, likes to quote Thomas Jefferson: “Design activities and political ideas are inseparable.”
In essence, political construction is a political choice. The founders always intend to make Washington, D.C. a classical city. That’s why we have to pass my bill – make sure our federal buildings continue to reflect boldly what makes America the value of America The greatest country on earth.
