As the Trump administration follows the “all above” energy strategy, hydrogen experts welcome new attention and are working to make it the highest domestically produced power source.
The Pacific Northwest Hydrogen Association, one of the seven “hubs” in the country, is a partner of tribal, public and private attention to establishing hydrogen production projects throughout the region.

Regarding agriculture’s interest in the future of hydrogen, the Washington State Potato Commission told Fox News Digital that agriculture drives innovation and growth as a cornerstone of evergreen states and other economies.
“The Northwest hydrogen hub will play a crucial role in ensuring local hydrogen supply for fertilizer production, helping to alleviate supply chain disruptions and challenging the industry’s cost increase,” an official said.
“In addition to fertilizers, hydrogen provides a potential opportunity to fuel agricultural machinery such as tractors and trucks. Potato farmers in Washington are committed to supporting hydrogen production in the Pacific Northwest, thus enhancing the future of agriculture in our region.”
