Exclusive: Dewdrick Wilmer, who has been unhappy for a long time Democratic Congressman Al Green In Texas, with Fox News Digital Digitization talks about why he decided to compete and what his priorities would be when he was elected.
Wilmer, who opposes Green in the 9th Congressional District of Texas, opposes Green as a “compassionate conservative” Republican, told Fox News Digital, “The difference between myself and the current one is that I want to provide solutions and bring people together, not bursting on the ground.”

Wilmer told Fox News Digital that he plans to run for the “kitchen table problem,” including lowering Medicare premiums, implementing more flood protection in Houston, reducing the cost of living and bringing businesses to his area.
Green, who has served in Congress since 2005, has won all re-election campaigns, including a 50-point victory against Republicans last time in a 2022 match against Republicans.
Wilmer told Fox News Digital that Green provided the area with “good” service, but when he spoke to residents of the area, he saw a desire for change.

“I am the future, he is the past,” Wilmer said.
“At the heart of all this, we have to ask ourselves, what is our true call?” Wilmer told Fox News Numbers. “What is the meaning and purpose of life? Our Founding Fathers built this great nation on such principles. We must not only help ourselves simply. We must also support those who cannot take care of ourselves. This means prioritizing our patients and older people, standing by our military and veterans, ensuring that every man, woman and child is protected by the legal and leadership talent that guides our country forward.”

Fox News Digital contacted Green’s office for comment.
