House conservatives ready to oppose Senate GOP framework for Trump tax cut package

There was a serious shock in the middle House Conservatives Regarding the updated budget framework, the Senate approved tax cuts and spending cuts early Saturday morning.

Fox was told at least 5-10 House Republicans could not support the plan. The reason is that the measure cuts almost enough to meet conservative spending.

President Trump Said he hopes the House of Representatives accepts the Senate blueprint. But these House conservatives are firmly opposed. Let’s see if they fold.

Fox asked a guardian if President Trump’s pressure would make them walk around. Fox was told they wouldn’t do it this time.

House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-la.) will vote on the new framework on Wednesday. Fox was told the house wanted to do so on Wednesday – in case Republican leaders need Mulligan and try again later this week.

It’s about mathematics.

This is the current house failure:

433 members. 220 Republicans. 213 Democrats.

This means Republicans can only lose three votes, and if all House members vote, they can still pass the bill.

This is why frameworks are so important:

this House and Senate It must be on the same page and adopt the same budget blueprint so that the Senate can avoid fillibuster using a process called a “budget settlement.” The Taboo case would kill the bill because Republicans lacked a lawsuit in the Senate in the 1960s. Therefore, they must use budget settlement. The House and Senate cannot delve into the guts of the “big and beautiful bill” until they both adopt the same budget framework. Otherwise, they die in the water.

The Senate has made a measure that has not been cut by the required cuts for some reason. First, such a profound cut would never order the necessary vote to pass the Senate bill. Second, Senate Republicans are subject to special budget rules. Therefore, their cuts cannot be that deep. But Senate Republican sources repeatedly told Fox that they were trying to build a “floor” for cuts. Not the “ceiling”.

The budget framework already has a harmful legislative history.

Senate The initial blueprint for February was approved. A week later, the house approved a different framework. But they are different files.

So the Senate approved another version over the weekend. The House now needs to be consistent with the Senate, or approve different things.

Either way, the House and Senate are not on the same page. And, before they can, they can start processing the actual bill. After two “votes” in the Senate (senators voted for a few hours in budget measures), some Senate Republicans said the Senate would not make a third vote – A-RAMA. Additionally, Johnson set a deadline for Memorial Day to pass the program.

It is expected to include an item in the package: an increase in debt ceiling. The Senate budget package raises debt ceiling by $5 trillion. Given the volatility in the market and overall economic uncertainty, there are concerns that Congress may need to resolve the debt ceiling as soon as possible. The current estimate is that lawmakers must address the debt ceiling by the summer. However, this could be problematic if Congress cannot green light any bill to resolve debt ceilings.
