The TW Garner Foods company announced that two types of Texas Pitt sauce have been recalled in 10 states due to issues related to bottling and labeling.
The company is headquartered in Winston Salem, North Carolina.

Inspectors found that some Havana Buffalo bottles may contain a Sriracha chili sauce – This contains sulfites not disclosed on the Havana Buffalo label.

The company said it also recalled a selection of mass and sizes for Pete Sweet Chabanero sauce, as the bottle “does not contain ingredients labeled with aging chili peppers (red Habanero peppers, salt, salt, vinegar).
The company said there are no diseases so far.
In internal quality testing, the company found that “the Havana sauce bottle actually contains sriracha sauce,” the company said in a recall notice.

“After reviewing these two labels, it was determined that the Havana buffalo sauce may contain undeclared sulfites because the sriracha sauce contains sodium bisulfate as a preservative.”
The company noted that so far, there are no diseases.

Affected products are distributed between February 5, 2025 and March 26, 2025.
