Honda teases its first full-size e-motorcycle with fast charging

Honda is preparing to follow the first electric motorcycle based on fast charging The company shared on Instagram. The video showed off a new electronic mechanism during a test ride in Europe and mocked the September 16th Japanese Daya introduction date. Plans to expand Honda’s electric motorcycle lineup begin at least 2022 It will release “10 or more” electronic agencies by 2025.

The new motorcycle is wrapped in black and white disguise in the video, but It’s with Honda introduced at Eicma 2024, the motorcycle trade show in Milan. At the time, Honda said the Boxy concept was designed to provide “performance equivalent to a mid-sized internal combustion engine (ICE) motorcycle” and was compatible with the CCS2 fast charger, which is the European standard for EV fast charging. According to Honda, it also has a “cruising range of over 100 kilometers.”

Wide electric motorcycle concept Honda shows off in Milan in 2024.

Relying on fast charging is one way companies can solve possible range issues on motorcycles. Electric motorcycles naturally provide less battery space than electric cars. Honda’s video does not cover these subtle details, so we have to wait until September 16 to confirm.

One thing that does seem certain is the regional availability of electronics. According to the fact that the video was shared on Honda’s UK Instagram page, and specifically mentioned that it was done on European streets, it seems very unlikely to offer motorcycles outside Europe and the UK.
