The Pentagon has unveiled a new beauty standard overhaul to ensure service staff are “cleaned” this week.

Leadership will also be asked to review changes in the retouching standards over the past decade.

“The standard of embellishment set by the U.S. military is to clean shaving and neatly during the speech for a proper military appearance,” Hulses said. Pentagon spokesperson Sean Parnell.
“Commanders must adopt consistent standards and appropriately consider the security and uniform interests of the department when authorizing individual exceptions,” Parnell added.
The memorandum does not mention whether troops are still allowed to carry beards like decades. Hegseth’s office did not promptly return the request for clarification.
Most shaving exemptions are for troops or PFBs diagnosed with pseudo-mouthitis, in which the hair is rolled back into the skin after shaving and causing irritation.
