Minister of Defense Fox News learned that Pete Hegseth has been providing a list to Congressional Republicans with the name of senior military generals and officers he is interested in firing.
A senior official said the names on the list included Admiral Lisa Franchetti, currently head of naval operations, and the second woman to be promoted to a four-star admiral in naval history.
“She is one of the people on the list,” the official said.

So far, the list contains “a few names” but it may not be the final version. It has been communicated to members of Congress Not a democratic person.
Several top Republicans on the Armed Forces Commission said they had heard of the list but hadn’t seen it themselves.

Hegseth is outspoken in believing that women should not be in combat roles.
“I said bluntly that we shouldn’t have women Fighting characters – This hasn’t made us more effective, it hasn’t made us more deadly, complicating the fight,” he said in the Nov. 7, 2024 podcast.
He later clarified his comments, saying that his remarks were “misunderstood, and somehow I don’t support women in the army, our greatest warriors, our best warriors are women.”
United Emirates Chairman CQ Brown was also on the list.
When asked if he fired Brown on his first day in office, Heggs said: “I look forward to working with him.”
Brown stood next to Hergers when he answered the question.
