At least that’s a poll and Voting data recommendations. Men under 25 are 20% more likely to vote for Donald Trump than women in that age group In the 2024 electionrevealing that the gender gap is much larger than the older gender gap.
And they are increasingly courting Hasan Piker: a 33-year-old Twitch streamer, some call it “Joe Rogan. “Parkes have eight hours or more almost every day.
He is openly political – but also an artist. At a recent streaming conference, Piker joked about his squat form and showed up in Andy Samberg’s face before focusing on a long-term interview with the New York Times Politics Reports.
Information is equally self-improvement and how to fight for a better world, stressing struggle. His message to his followers and Democrats seeking a path forward is that it becomes more confrontational in promoting their beliefs.
“You should fight back,” Pique told Today, I explained Co-host Sean Rameswaram. “You should think, ‘No, that’s what I believe.’ Why don’t you want to give the poor, like what’s wrong with you?”
Parker’s conversation Today, I explained From his protein intake to Lyndon B. Johnson’s idea of race, to the “warm blanket” of the right-wing media. Make sure you are listening to the entire content anywhere on the link below or on the podcast. This interview has been edited for length and clarity.
What is your protein intake? Are there a lot of protein?
Yes, I consume at least 200 sheets of 220 grams of protein per day.
I mean, that’s OK. I ate a lot of chicken. I love chicken. So it’s very good. There is only straight white chicken breast every day.
oh! Do you feel like you are a bit like a part of your draw and role?
I think it was originally in the left-wing circle…it was a negative one. People look at me and immediately assume I’m a right-wing guy. At this point, it’s hard to say, because obviously most people know what my politics is. But if you don’t know who I’m far away, you’d think, “Oh, it’s like an Alpha Bro might be the right guy.”
The same goes for my behavior. I’m just real. I don’t like performances. I don’t even think I have the ability to lie and not be true every day for 10 hours, especially when I respond in real time to what the two news is happening, and also to respond in real time to those who are trying to argue with me. It’s me. There is nothing I can do to change it. And I don’t even want to change the way I behave.
What is your reading and why is there a gap between this male optimization (get, really strengthening)? What is that difference?
There are a lot of different reasons, but I think, like many of these guys, they don’t have a hard time thinking about politics, and then they find themselves trapped in this right-wing bubble. Then, I think they just like to connect it with general self-improvement and self-help. Self-inherent self-help is not like the left or right-wing stuff.
However, it seems that a lot of content creators are promoting and showing their performance, at least on the right. But I think part of that is because it’s just a general dominance attitude, if you really don’t think about too much and find yourself vulnerable to social conditions. This does have the entire common sense narrative of right-wing tilt. It’s like, “Oh, that’s just common sense…two genders: common sense.”
You haven’t thought a lot about it. That’s what you’ve learned in your life. So, in this regard, you’re certainly stuck on the right.
I think the other reason is because self-improvement will quickly turn into hyperindividualism, which is another incredible attitude in the United States, but that’s it.
You try to combine self-improvement with helping others, which is really crucial in the moment when many people feel lost, but it can lead to them becoming more introverted, introverted, and even angry. You feel like you are doing well in that battle now, not only to improve your inner and extrovert, but to be more considerate of the people around you?
I have no idea. I’m just…I’m a stubborn guy. I don’t do intentional gym content specifically because I want to penetrate the Alpha Bro fitness space. This is just something I always like to do organically. And, the content creators I watch from this field end up being someone who works with me or at least has some common interests.
It feels like we are a very important juncture for young people, right? Many people also told them to return, hoping that women will stay at home with their last names, have many babies, and don’t ask too many questions. Then, I don’t know, it feels like you’re trying to tell men to grow up on the other end of that fight.
I don’t tell others that “women have to stay in the kitchen” or “women don’t have to stay in the kitchen”. I prefer: treating women as individuals, you know? Just like your sister or your mother, just like a normal person. Let them do whatever they want. At least that’s my attitude.
I think the reason why rights have so successfully attracted the attention of young people is so successful is because they master the worst aspects of the despair I am just talking about – everyone in the next generation is experiencing it. The right-wing comment is like a warm blanket where you can surround yourself and say, “You are right to be angry, you should be angry with the disadvantaged. You should be angry with people who can’t do anything to you. Then, if you take a little bit of domination, that gives you some strength, a little strength to you, right?”
This reminds me of LBJ’s famous quote to tell the lowest white man he is taller than any black man.
“If you can convince a minimum white man, he is better than the best people of color. He won’t notice you’re picking up your pockets.
I think what you get here is the vision that the right to sell to young people is very compelling because it doesn’t necessarily involve growth or progress. It just affirms what they already believe, or maybe what their father and father believe in their faith. But you seem to have done something special, which is you creating an alternative vision for young people (young people) and what makes you hopeful?
One hope I have now is the momentum I see from it AOC and Bernie Sanderswho speaks in front of thousands, and maybe even those who don’t vote for the primary election, right? Just like people from all walks of life (including Democrats, and even some not Democrats), it’s like “Yes, everything is messy. We need to do something about it.”
So there must be a lot of interest in changing things in the working class of the United States. Some people link this change to Donald Trump. I find this change worse because I think Donald Trump is further breaking the system that was previously destroyed before that.
Some people recognize the fact that there must be differences and that there must be different mechanisms of change. They found Bernie to be a positive tool, but it all depends on where you get from here. Whether the Democrats turn around, “Well, we have to do that. That’s enough to solve third-way neoliberalism.”
This [neoliberal] The attitude is ridiculous. I think this is academic, complacent, and an elite, which is wrong. This is obviously wrong. And I don’t think people want to listen anymore.
So I hope the Democrats can realize that and then more and more people are running for office, saying, “No, I don’t want corporate donations. I’ve done the work of billionaires and millionaires. I’ve done your job. I’ve done the rest of the Democrats. I’ve done the same. I’ve done the rest of the Democrats. I’m going to be a Democrat, but I’m going to be a Democrat.”
That’s what Republicans have done over the years. They worry about their base. They don’t have to worry about the potential political implications of pushing incredibly unfavorable and unpopular policies. See where they are now. They get consistent rewards again and again. Or at least do something.
This is the attitude of many Americans. They were like, “Yeah, everything is messed up. At least this guy wants to break the system. I really don’t like the system anyway. I don’t like the agencies anyway. What did they do for me? So let’s test it.”
