A man called 911 amid drug-induced hallucinations, claiming that people were trying to kill him, while his entire family was murdered 30 shots, prompting his loved ones to hide and cover up cover, he lives in the United States illegally.

Authorities say Homero Salinas, 47, was identified as the source of threats Fries police responded to the house around 2:40 a.m.

“He is experiencing hallucinations and acting with delusional belief that he was attacked and his family was killed,” the police statement said. “His family did not know that they were the person who called 911 or released their weapons and were found hiding on the floor of their home without being hurt.”

When the officer responded to the house, Salinas was seen walking on a nearby street and being detained. Police said he claimed he was wearing a ballistic vest, which was false.

Authorities found Multiple guns and ammunition. Police said Salinas’ family was not harmed and the damage from the shooting was limited to the property. Authorities said they didn’t know Salinas called 911 and fired his weapon.

After taking fingerprints, authorities finally learned that Salinas was an illegal Mexican citizen in the United States.

“The fact that there is no life in this incident proves the skill and discipline of our first responders,” said Fries City Manager Brooks Williams. “This morning, we want to thank God for no one being hurt and for his support for all those involved.”

“But we can’t ignore what this situation reveals, people without legal status (formerly marked by ICE) are still here and still able to use lethal weapons,” Williams added. “It’s not only a local issue, but a failure of the system.”
