Given the fast speed, how can creators best build their position on this technology? exist TechCrunch Conference: AIJune 5, at Zellerbach Hall at UC Berkeley, we will host a panel “How Founders Build Existing Basic Models” to answer some of the existing problems faced by AI startups.
We are excited to have leaders from Google Deepmind, Cohere and Twelve Labs (three at the forefront of AI model development) to help us answer some of these questions.
Attendees can hear directly from sources about the next step of building AI model developers, improvements to AI models and where entrepreneurial founders should (and shouldn’t) build. About our speakers
TC Conference: AI Logan Kilpatrick, senior product manager at Google DeepMind, will join. Kilpatrick leads Google AI Studio’s products Google Gemini, One of the best performing AI models in the industry. Kilpatrick previously led the developer relationship at Openai.
We will also join Sara Hooker, head of AI’s Cohere, the AI Research Lab, one of the hottest AI startups in Silicon Valley, common. Cohere specializes in enterprise AI and has a unique insight into how today’s enterprises use the basic AI model. Hooker is a widely respected AI researcher who spent many years at Google and was named one of the most influential people of her time in 2024.
Finally, our group will feature Jae Lee Twelve laboratoriesa startup building AI basic model that can be analyzed and searched through video. Twelve labs powered by Nvidia, Samsung and Intel are building AI models that can help you find the exact moments in your videos, finding them with simple English requirements alone. The startup has raised more than $100 million to date, and its supporters believe its videotapes will create new businesses and use cases for AI in the video world.
