For more than a decade, the city has explored how to connect its two major visitor hubs with Disneyland and Anaheim Convention Center to three miles from Angel Stadium and Honda Center.

Anaheim officials also contacted Tesla and Waymo for options for driverless shuttles or trams, as well as a company called Glydways, which will promote small driverless cars running along dedicated roads, Lyster said.
The gondola company, known as Swyft Cities, does not have gondolas in commercial operations, but discusses similar options to the City of Irving for use in its emerging Orange County Great Park community.
Lyster said the possibility of expanding Disneyland monorail has not emerged in “recent discussions” as new options may be more environmentally friendly and less expensive.
“We have to evaluate these emerging technologies to determine which technologies may be endurable and which may be cost-effective,” Lyster said. “It’s too early to say that this is a strong candidate.”
Investigators reported that Swyft City estimated that the construction cost of gondolas last year was about $35 million, and this year the cost increased to $125.7 million. The estimated cost of the proposed Dodger Stadium involves construction on hillside terrain, rising $125 million from former Dodgers owner Frank McCourt First, the plan was proposed in 2018 It’s about $500 million now.
