Wieczorek stressed that Chicago’s location offers drug traffickers the opportunity to make the most of the city as a “basis of operations.”
“What followed was that we also had a large end-user market,” he continued. “This is driven by street gangs, which raises another problem because the drug deal is driven by violence. Many of our neighborhood violence is prominent and is a byproduct of drug dealing, both in neighborhood-by-neighborhood and in the larger distribution network.”
During the summer, the FBI launched a national initiative, the Summer Heat, to reduce violent crime. This is in close coordination with local authorities, including Chicago Police Department Illinois police target gangs, violent criminals and drug dealings.

“All 55 offices are in the competition and we are actively fighting violent crimes whenever and wherever we are coming in all forms, so crimes against children and fugitives and violent crimes,” he said.
“Specifically, in the sin against the child realm, we have Action to restore justiceWieczorek added that this is a multi-agency action led by the FBI, and for multiple operational cycles we prioritize resources to identify and find sexual predators. ”

FBI officials refused to possess the National Guard presence in Chicago. However, Wieczorek does say the FBI will try to identify “federal links” to help local authorities in high-crime areas.

“Many violent crimes in cities are often state and local crimes, such as shootings at face value are local and state crimes,” the agent explained.
“For example, for example, it is illegal to own a firearm in felony. So if you are a well-known felony and you are in the FBI’s attention state, or our partner puts this person on our FBI because of violence nearby, then if they are driving in a shooting, then we continue to conduct a firearm investigation of the firearm.

He told Fox News Digital that they value human intelligence because it is the best asset when investigating crime. Wieczorek noted that people can call the nearest on-site office or stop in person.
“Every local on-site office has a duty agent to interact with the public because of some of our best tips, some of the best information,” he said. “There are a lot of communities and communities.
