Democratic California Gov. Gavin Newsom’s press office posted on social media on Saturday Department of Homeland Security Kristi Noem, secretary of the (DHS) was eventually referred to the U.S. Secret Service for threat assessment.

“Kristi Noem will have a bad day today,” Governor’s News Office Posted to X. “You’re welcome, the United States.”
Essayli replied that there is “zero tolerance” for direct or implicit threats from government officials.

“I mentioned this matter to [the Secret Service] and a comprehensive threat assessment is required. ” he said.
McLaughlin answered the Newsom office’s X post, calling it “ugly” and said it was like a threat.
“Your team of keyboard warriors might be hiding behind a laptop and spraying this sulfuric acid, but you’ll never say it to her face,” McLaughlin said.

Republican California lawmaker Kate Sanchez posted a comment, telling Fox News Digital that such rhetoric increases the possibility of future political violence.
Sanchez told Fox News numbers, “Our governor can’t put his feet in his mouth.”
Hours after the initial X position, the Governor’s Press Office followed up with a legislative package designed to protect immigrant communities that would “put Trump in charge” – it seems that the development they suggested would give Norm a “bad day.”

Newsom’s press office said Newsom appeared along with community members and legislative leaders to sign a series of bills aimed at “protecting Californians, over-retreatment of the federal and opposing Trump and Stephen Miller’s “secret police” strategy in California.”

This includes a bill that prohibits most law enforcement agencies, including federal immigration agents, from hiding their faces when performing formal duties, according to the Associated Press.

“We celebrate this diversity. That’s what makes America great. That’s what makes America great,” Newsom said at a news conference in Los Angeles on Saturday. “This is the United States of America and I am proud of California and our mindset that we are opposing these authoritarian tendencies and actions of this administration.”
DHS and Newsom’s press offices did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.
