Democratic California Government Gavin Newsom Sitting down one-on-one with conservative firepower Charlie Kirk, frankly discussing the party’s shortcomings in the 2024 presidential election.
In the first episode of his new podcast “This is Gavin Newsom,” The governor marveled at Kirk’s success as the founder of Turning Point, the latter playing a key role in President Donald Trump and young voters.
Newsom cited an op-ed by James Carville, a well-known Democratic strategist who urged Democrats to “turn over and play death” and allowed President Trump and Republicans to “crash under their own weight and make the American people miss us”Strategic political retreat. ”
This is not good for the governor.
“I immediately thought of you, thinking of you, he flooded the area 24/7 a day, owned this space every day, got a convert every day, picked up one, two, 10,000 people, continued the momentum, continued this damn election,” Newsom told Kirk. “And I was thinking – we were going to take a step back and watch you run around us for six months, the next two or three years, waiting for the momentum to finally strike – not necessarily the best advice. It’s not my shock to Calville, who I respect for.”

“Yes, I hope you retreat. Provide us with more!” Kirk replied happily. “I mean, there are no oppositions, no activist sparks. You’re posting these cringe videos on social media-“
“What are these videos? What are the most vulnerable videos?” Newsom asked.
“I don’t know, such a harmonious thing is like 22 Senators all say the same thing… go ahead. Go do more,” Kirk quipped.
Newsom said: “What are you doing? Seriously, Charlie Kirk, give us some advice.”
“Get better ideas, Governor,” Kirk replied.

Kirk explains his strategy for success.
“Just in 2021, what I want to say is: We have a goal: Can we vote for youths by 10 points in 10 years?” Kirk said. “Because our whole assumption is – we did it with President Trump and his great team, and it’s this crowd that is disproportionate to the Democratic side. We believe Democrats take them for granted. We don’t think your side has any information and ideological monopoly. We see some shortcomings.”
Kirk added: “For President Trump, he also coordinated this strategy by doing podcasts and using tiktok. But yes, I mean, we did this work in four years, not 10, and that’s largely thanks to you guys.”

The 31-year-old conservative activist pointed to the “crisis” among young people who have become festered in recent years, and he insists that Newsom’s party “completely ignored.”
“This is the first time in American history that a 30-year-old would be worse than his parents. It’s the collapse of the social contract,” Kirk said. “They are the most popular, most drug-affected drugs, the most suicide, the most depressed, the most depressed, the most drug-treated generation. And, the information is largely sent to many young people with lower expectations.

“It’s been ridiculed a lot by the media, ‘Oh, you know, they’re creating this animal circle stuff.’ Look, they’re half the population, and for any society and civilization, there’s both strong men and strong women.

Kirk went on to call Trump a “cultural phenomenon,” telling the news magazine that “no matter what you throw at this person, he’s above the criminal charges,” with the efforts of Democratic leadership that led him to remove him from the state vote.
“Although all of this was certainly shot, but it was a crescendo of all of this, he became this character in the American comeback story,” Kirk said. “So, he has become a lot of young people, especially young people, who want to go back to politics, and it’s a rising rebel attitude towards these institutions that have made them so miserably defeated.”
