Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Bowser and friends will return to the sequel to the 2023 Super Mario Bros. movie. On Friday, Nintendo releases trailer YouTube reveals the title of the new movie: Super Mario Galaxy Movie.
In the video, Mario sneezes under a tree as a butterfly takes off, pulls apart on the familiar territory of the mushroom kingdom and zooms into the sky. The Luma star character cried, “Let’s!” The title of the video appears. The animated film is expected to be released on April 3, 2026.
The 2023 film was co-produced by Illumination and earned over $1.3 billion at the box office, becoming the most successful game-to-movie adaptation of all time.

This 2023 film features Brooklyn Pipeline Brothers Mario (Chris Pratt) and Luigi (Charlie Day), sent to the Mushroom Kingdom and teamed up with Princess Page (Anya Taylor-Joy) against evil, while surprisingly talented – Sing – Sing – Bowser-Bowser (Jack Black).
