Now anyone can download the ZOOX app for iOS or Android and ride in what the company calls riding on bikes”Special robot“-This means there is no driver seat, steering wheel or pedal. Boxing vehicles will drive on and around the Las Vegas Strip, and the ride is initially free.

In the past few months, ZOOXOwned by Amazon, the company has been operating its specially built robots in the cities of Las Vegas, San Francisco and Foster, California. These rides are not open to the public yet (although I have to accept Early testing Last year) as the company has been collecting driver data and testing its autonomous technology. ZOOX also runs a modified Toyota Highlanders test team Los Angeles,,,,, Atlanta and Austin, Texas.
Zoox’s Las Vegas launch is the first step in its plan to provide commercial services in multiple cities. Through the app, people can also join the waitlist to make their way to San Francisco’s board – although the company hasn’t shared that release date yet.
At launch, ZOOX will run near the Las Vegas Strip.
How to Hail Zoox Robotaxi Ride
To ride with ZOOX in Las Vegas, download the ZOOX app Google Play or Apple’s App Store. Then select the target in the application.
Although Zoox has established designated areas with Las Las Vegas and Area51 with Resorts, pickups and drop-offs occur in ride areas on the streets and around the strip. The live Zoox concierge at these partner locations can help users browse the app and answer questions (maybe relaxing before the first time of self-driving).
The ZOOX app will display the vehicle license plate number you assigned and the estimated pick time (similar to the pick time you see in the Uber or Lyft app). If you need support before, during or after the ride, you can contact remote team members via the app or the on-screen help button inside Robotaxi.
Initially, Zoox’s Robotaxi rides will be free. “This is an important stage in our journey where riders can become familiar with ZOOX, our services, and share their feedback with us before we expand,” the company said. “We will introduce paid rides in Las Vegas and get the necessary regulatory approvals.”
The Zoox vehicle has no driver’s seats, only two rows of seats facing each other.

Zoox distinguishes itself from its competitors by highlighting the “basic” approach of its Robotaxi design. Zoox’s Robotaxis is not a standard vehicle that uses autonomous driving technology to revamp, but is designed for riders from the beginning, thus lacking a driver’s seat or steering wheel.
“It took us longer to get here, but the intentional approach means we are now effectively and efficiently expanding.”
In June, Zoox shared it opens 220,000 square feet continuous production facility In Hayward, California, this will allow approximately 10,000 robots per year. The facility will be used before deploying vehicles, from manufacturing to line testing.
“The idea of ZOOX is never about car driving; it’s about creating a whole new way of transportation,” Zoox CTO and co-founder Jesse Levinson said in a statement. “After more than a decade of research, innovation and testing, we are very excited to bring that vision to finally start in Las Vegas and start in Las Vegas. Today’s service is just the beginning and we look forward to a more safer, more fun, more enjoyable, more personalized way to travel in Las Vegas and more of the U.S. markets in the months and years ahead.”
For Zoox, what happened in Las Vegas may not be staying in Las Vegas for a long time.
