Coursera Will Soon Have AI Personas to Help You Practice for a Job Interview

New AI role-playing

Role-playing, launched in October, can help students learn job skills and soft skills using AI roles. By interacting back and forth, you can prepare for the interview and get real-time, actionable feedback in delivery. You can also customize your roles to suit realistic scenarios and course goals. This provides students with a safe space to practice key interactions and build confidence in the job market.

Features that provide AI-enabled capabilities for students and educators

The new AI scoring capability will make it easier for educators to assess students’ complex skill allocations. Now, issues, papers, and video responses can be graded immediately through AI-generated columns. Peer review ratings will also see AI enhancements for ratings. Coursera has also launched new milestones, naps and recognition moments to help students stay motivated to complete the course.

Abuse of AI locking

Coursera is introducing integrity checks to cheat on its platform, including Proctoring, locking browsers to limit access to external applications. It will also implement target authenticity checks to further reduce abuse of AI.

While Coursera Proctoring and integrity checking are entirely powered by AI, educators made the final call when processing tagged instances. Coursera said its Proctoring solution reduced misconduct by 95%, and since May, plagiarized submissions have been reduced by 90%.

Course Builder Extends to All Partners

Coursera’s Course Builder Let educators design courses using AI and be at the forefront with speed and scalability.

Course creators will have access to AI-driven course designers as well as new tool integrations such as role-playing and AI-level issues. New features currently available for selecting partners and enterprise customers will continue to be refined based on feedback before further rolling out.
