Human beings are pushing Claude In addition to text-based answers. AI ChatBot can now generate and edit files, including Excel spreadsheets, Word Documents, PowerPoint Slide Decks, and PDFS within Claude.ai and its desktop applications. This update will enable Claude to pass completed professional files, not just copied text.
This feature is currently a preview of Claude Max, Team and Enterprise customers. Professional users will gain access in the coming weeks.

What did this update bring to Cloud
Users can now delete the original data and get the spreadsheet in formulas, charts, and written summary. Meeting notes can be polished reports or sliding introductions. Claude can convert data into slideshows or a bunch of invoices to spreadsheets. Claude can also report that it can build complex assets from scratch, such as financial models or project trackers.
The new functionality is powered by a secure computing environment that allows Claude to write code and run programs in the background to assemble files. Anthropomorphism positions updates as a way to reduce the distance between ideas and deliverables. Instead of spending hours cleaning data or formatting documents, customers will use Claude to handle execution while focusing on strategies and decisions.
Do not use sensitive data
There is an important warning. Claude connects to the internet when creating and analyzing files, so companies and employees should be careful to feed AI platform sensitive data.
New features can create financial models, project trackers, reports, and more. But do not use sensitive information.
How to start using Claude’s new file creation feature
- Open Upgraded File Creation and Analysis in Settings > Features > Experiments.
- Upload the file you want Claude to use or describe your request in the chat.
- Work with Claude by providing instructions and gradually improving the output.
