The MTV Video Music Awards are back, with fans having the opportunity to vote for their favorite nominees in 19 categories, including Best Collaboration, Best New Artist, Best Orchestration, and coveted video of the year. In recent years, the increase in socially driven categories has opened the door to viral artists and internet favorites, making the competition wider than ever.

This year’s ceremony will be hosted by LL Cool J and hosted by speakers and performers.
