Oppo finds that N5 seems to have achieved success Foldable At least from a design standpoint, it’s been a long time to work: it’s very thin, feels like a regular phone when it’s off, and adds a spacious (almost) crease-free interior screen for easy navigation.
Oppo’s latest foldable unveiled Thursday, was sold as “the thinnest book-style foldable in the world when closed.” In fact, when it is closed it only measures 8.93 mm thick – reference, it is more iPhone 16. When it is turned on, it is 4.21mm thick – so no, there is no headphone jack. In fact, the phone is thick enough to fit the USB-C port at the bottom, and the volume and power button on the right are just as slim. It costs $2,499 Singapore dollars, which converts to about $1,870 (£1,482, AUD, $2,930).

In my hands, the Find N5 does feel like a standard phone when using the 6.62-inch cover screen. The size and layout are comparable to the non-folding flat phone and are naturally held. It’s better iPhone 16 Pro Max, It makes it easy for me to forget that I sometimes even have a foldable thing. The refresh rate of the cover is 120Hz and the peak brightness is 2,450 columns.
When turned on, the display size of the Find N5 is 8.12 inches. (In comparison, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 has an internal screen size of 7.6 inches.) The internal screen also has a 120Hz refresh rate and can reach peak brightness of 2,100 columns. It uses a reflective film, which is helpful, especially in such a large display.
Personally, with iPhone or Samsung Galaxy Phone, I found the colors softer on the cover and interior screen on the N5’s monitor. But this is a high standard and it is found that the overall display quality on the N5 is still nothing to be heard. The image remains sharp and the screen is comfortable in bright conditions and low light.

Despite the larger real estate on the cover and interior screens, when unfolded, the N5 is still easy to manipulate (although I definitely have a bigger hand, giving me a slight advantage here). The comfort of holding one or both hands of the phone is due to the lightweight version. Split screen mode helps multitasking and also makes it easier for each hand to reach both sides of the screen (if I’m just dexterous…).
One of the most impressive features of finding the N5 is what it doesn’t have: the obvious crease on the internal screen. I barely see it when the screen is on, and it’s so minimal even when it’s off on the screen. The hinge is made of grade 5 titanium alloy, and there is no awkward gap when folding. Turning the phone on and off feels seamless and won’t be awkward at any time.
You can still see the crease when the screen is off, but when the screen is on, it actually disappears.
Oppo has also been touting the overall durability of the phone. The frame of the Find N5 is made of aluminum alloy, which the company says increases strength by 30% compared to previous models. The cover display made of nanocrystalline glass has a 20% increase in landing resistance and a 10% increase in scratch resistance – I had to test it myself.
In my hands, the phone is thin, but it still feels solid. Even with some pressure applied, I wouldn’t feel it bending and the hinge was stable. Even the internal screen doesn’t seem fragile, and I can just tap it without worrying about how it will fix it.
It was found that N5 is available in two colors: cosmic black and mist white. The device I used was black, it had a matte back that produced a proper amount of resistance when holding the phone and blended with a smooth aluminum frame that ran along the edges.
How bulky is the camera bump?
It is definitely significant to look up the camera module on the N5, but it won’t add much to the thickness of the phone.
After such a slim build, there is a lot of pressure on the camera module that won’t mess things up because it’s too big – luckily, that’s not the case. Oppo said it customizes the entire camera system so as not to stop its efforts to provide a solid camera while maintaining a thin design. You’ll definitely notice a bit strong module, but the single glass cover of all the lenses helps to smooth things out and it won’t protrude too much from the back of the phone.
The Find N5 has a 50-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel speeding camera and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera. The selfie camera on the cover and internal screen is 8 megapixels.
I picked up the camera and spun quickly, impressed by the intensity of the color and the accuracy of the portrait mode. (Although you tend not to like more saturated images, this may not be a cup of tea for you.) Despite the overall brightness of the color and the light of the nighttime lens of the phone, the image is indeed less sharper than you might get, for example, iPhone. However, you will get general stability.
The colors are rich and saturated and have an overall smoothing effect.
In this portrait mode, the edges are not very clear, but at least the rose in the foreground is powerful.

The Find N5 can shoot 4K video at 60 frames per second, and the lens is just as powerful and smooth.
Battery and processor
The Find N5 comes with a 5,600-MAH battery, and the largest battery is the largest one that finds the N phone. It has 80 watts of fast charging and 50 watts of wireless charging. It’s nice to see a smaller version that doesn’t necessarily mean browsing battery capacity.
Oppo said it was found that the N5 lasted for up to 25 hours of continuous video streaming. I managed to squeeze a three-hour streaming test in which I played YouTube videos in full screen mode at full brightness of Wi-Fi and the battery dropped from 100% to 89% since then, which is pretty solid . In the charging test, the phone increased from 0% to full charge in less than an hour.
Even with the camera module, the Find N5 remains overall thin.
Discovered N5 by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Oppo says CHIP improves CPU, GPU and AI performance by more than 40%. Indeed, the processor brings notable performance improvements to other phones, e.g. Galaxy S25 line-up and OnePlus 13.
It was found that the N5 was equipped with 512GB of storage and 16GB of RAM.
Speaking of AI, you get features like screen translation, documentation and call summary, and photo editing tools like AI Eraser and Unblur. From my initial tests, AI Eraser can do impressive work to remove objects and fill in the background, but Unblur’s name can only be minimized, resulting in a subtle difference between the original photo and the modified photo. Still, it’s great to see these more practical, (usually) useful AI applications.
Find N5 also has Google’s Gemini AI tools and Circle searchone of my favorite features of your phone. With a circle search, you can easily find more information about anything on the screen (cover or internal).
From the overall build to the hinge, the N5 is found to have a solid feel.
Overall Thought
Oppo found that N5 showed that the folding amount did not have to be bulky, awkward, or fragile. With a solid and lightweight build, this phone holds when closed and is easy to manage when turned on. So far, despite the thin design, the battery capacity doesn’t seem to have taken a lot of hits, and super fast charging is a huge win.
The camera is great, but according to my first impression, it’s comparable to other quality flagship phones from Apple and Samsung – but you’ll still get really good lenses during the day and at night, and the colors are great.
Overall, the Find N5 eliminates common foldable flaws such as screen creases (mostly), bulky hinges and awkward front displays. Instead, it provides a foldable feel, just like the folding case has been trying all the time: smooth, intuitive and attractive.
