In 2024, Edifier released a set of earbuds. Spirit S10from the enthusiast brand Stax with low-stable flat magnetic drives (until recently started to appear in real wireless earbuds). For some people, including me, the bud sound of Stax is too neutral and the cancellation isn’t strong enough. But with Edifier’s similar style 2025 Neobuds Planar, both sound and noise effects have been improved. Although they retain the clean, clear Dax Bud sound, they offer more dynamic and dynamic bass and sound compared to the Spirit S10. They also have more effective noise reduction and good voice calling performance.
Neobuds Planar is powered by a Qualcomm chipset along with those planar magnetic drivers, which supports all audio codecs in the Qualcomm Snapdragon Sound Suite, including APTX Audio, APTX Adaptive and APTX Lossless, as well as HD Codecs, as well as LDAC and LDAC and LHDC 5.0 (Most and lhdc 5.0) (most and lhdc Smartphones) (most Smartphones). Additionally, more and more supported AAC codecs are on board, and you can adjust your EQ settings through Edifier’s Connex application.
While I use these buds with iPhones and some Android smartphones, I think these buds are perfect for use with Android devices, especially those certified by Snapdragon Sound. As you’d expect, the Neobuds Planar comes with earbud sensors and wireless charging. Battery life is fairly average (up to 5 hours, noise reduction), they are IPX55 splash resistant and dust resistant. 7 different ear tips are included to help ensure you get a tight seal, which is essential for the best sound quality.
